In the afternoon: visit of Bolgheri.
The ancient village of Bolgheri is located in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci (LI). It extends between the hills and the strip of sea bordered by San Vincenzo and Cecina, on that part of the Tuscan coast formerly dominated by the Etruscans, an area with an ancient wine tradition.
Starting from the 18th century the Count della Gherardesca, founder of the town built on the site of the ancient village and the castle destroyed in 1393, gave new impetus to the economic development of this area until it became one of the most fertile and of the greatest production. of the coast.
Bolgheri soon became one of the cornerstones of Tuscan wine production and a very important agricultural center.
And it is in these fertile lands that the second tasting of the day will take place.
The experience will end in the late afternoon.
